Precise measurements are necessary not only to price a window treatment, but also to custom fabricate it to the specified size. The dimensions supplied on the order form must be absolutely correct for the blind to properly fit the window opening. Competition Window Coverings cannot be accountable for incorrect measurements! remember: MEASURE TWICE!
"Rounding" Your Measurements
Dimensions on the order form should be accurate to within 1/8". With inside mounts, always round down to the nearest 1/8". Rounding up could result in a blind that is too wide to fit within the window opening. For example, 3/16" would be rounded down to 2/16", which is the same as 1/8".
Inside Mount or Outside Mount?
Exactly how you measure will vary depending upon whether the shade fits within the window frame(inside mount) or overlaps the window opening(outside mount). |
